I’ve used ThinLenses consistently since my prescription became too complex for the online service I had used for years. I have a strong prescription, and now need varifocals. I have had five or six pairs of glasses and sunglasses lensed at ThinLenses now, and Ash and his team have gone above and beyond expectations every time, helping find solutions to get the prescription I need in a variety of vintage frames.

Recently, I tried using a cheaper service offered by a major high street retailer for a pair of sunglasses that weren’t for everyday use. The lenses they returned to me were incorrect and unwearable, and despite swearing they’d made them to my prescription, they were unusable. I sent them to Ash, who confirmed that the mainstream brand had made errors and cut corners. He was able, as usual, to send me a perfect set of lenses made to the same prescription.

Lesson learned, you get what you pay for. Particularly if you have complex requirements, ThinLenses are incredible. Quick turnaround, personal service, perfect product, every time.

I turned to Thinlenses because I have such a complex prescription that my optician could no longer find anyone who manufactures my prescription to a 1.9 index. I have to admit I was terrified about ordering because my prescription is VERY complex (-15.5 and -16.75) and I really could not believe that somebody could make me a pair of glasses that would not only fit me, but also be the right prescription for just £244 including frames (the cheapest quote I could get for LENSES ONLY at 1.7 index was £550). Ash was extremely helpful and reassuring and so I placed my order with trepidation. However, when my glasses arrived I was astonished to find they actually fitted me better and gave me better vision than my old ones! And they are so lightweight and comfortable too. I really cannot recommend this optician enough – if they can deal with my prescription, they can deal with anything!

I have a high prescription and in 30 years no high street optician has ever given me glasses I felt comfortable wearing, then I found the utopia, step forward ThinLenses.

I contacted ThinLenses feeling a little apprehensive because of my high prescription but that completely disappeared during my first phone conversation, their help, experience and advice throughout the entire process was outstanding, I was completely at ease.

I will never buy glasses from anyone else, I can’t recommend ThinLenses highly enough
